Prof. Anatolii Kretov

Speech Title: Aerospace parachute systems – as an effective braking means of the launch vehicles return stages and reusable spacecraft

Biography: Anatolii Kretov Doctor Eng.Sc. (1999), professor (2002). He graduated from the Kazan Aviation Institute (Kazan national research technical University named after A. N. Tupolev-KAI). A. Kretov has research experience with the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TSAGI) and with the Public Joint Stock company "Tupolev". Since 2015, A. Kretov has been a Professor at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. His area of expertise is the design of high-speed aircraft and structures, as well as weight designing. He is the author of 80 articles and co-author of two books.


Dr. Richard Baker

Speech Title: Aircraft Accident Investigations: Training Investigators

Biography: Dr. Richard Baker is Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at Capitol Technology University. He previously served as associate professor in Indiana State University’s Department of Aviation Technology, and as executive director of the Center for Unmanned Systems and Human Capital Development. Richard holds a BS in mathematics and an MS in computer science from Indiana State University. He received his doctorate in information systems from Nova Southeastern University. Before entering the academic world, he was the chief consultant systems engineer for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and General Motors. Over that time, he worked with a number of Fortune 500 clients, governments and alliance partners such as Microsoft, SAP, PeopleSoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Oracle. ……More

Biography: Dr. Andrew Carruthers is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Bradford where he has lectured and researched for over 25 years on the themes of technological management and innovation with a focus on the aerospace industry. Graduate of the University of Bradford with a degree in Industrial Technology and Management with subsequent postgraduate study at Loughborough University of Technology in engineering science.
